Industrial Engineer from the University of Seville, with 30 years of experience in hydrogen and fuel cells. He worked at INTA for 13 years, where he was Head of the Terrestrial Energy Systems Laboratory. Since ARIEMA Energía y Medioambiente was founded in 2002, he has served as its CEO.

He represented Spain on the International Energy Agency’s “Hydrogen Executive Committee” and on the “Fuels” Working Group of the European “CARS-21” initiative.

For five years (1997–2002), he was an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Huelva. He has participated as a speaker and guest lecturer at more than 20 universities, delivering training programmes on energy efficiency, renewable energy, hydrogen and fuel cells to undergraduate and Master’s students. He has also been a lecturer on the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Course organised by ARIEMA and the AeH2 since 2008.

Chemical Engineer from the Complutense University of Madrid. He began his professional career specialising in hydrogen at Repsol in 2000, where he worked as Hydrogen Fuel Project Manager.

During his eight years in the role, he worked on European projects such as HyWays, HyLights and Nemesis. He was also responsible for the hydrogen production plant for the CUTE project in Madrid and represented the company within the Spanish Hydrogen Association (AeH2). He subsequently joined the FCH JU as a Project Manager, where he managed a portfolio of twelve international projects with a total budget of €364 million, €128 million in funding and more than 200 partners involved.

These projects covered hydrogen distribution, transport applications and hydrogen valleys, including H2ME, JIVE2, BIG HIT, HEAVEN and FCH2RAIL. Enrique currently works at ARIEMA as Managing Director, having been promoted from his previous position as Director of Consulting and R&D&I.

Agricultural Engineer from the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), with a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy, Fuel Cells and Hydrogen. He has been part of ARIEMA’s technical team since 2010, working on the preparation of technical proposals and the on-site maintenance of hydrogen and fuel cell equipment.

He is currently Director of ARIEMA’s Engineering and Product Development Department, coordinating the various development teams and overseeing the implementation and improvement of ARIEMA’s proprietary hydrogen equipment. He has participated in more than fifteen national and international R&D projects involving hydrogen and fuel cells.

He has been a member of the teaching team for ARIEMA’s CursoH2 Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Course since 2011. His teaching experience also includes participation in the Master’s in Renewable Energy at Universidad Europea de Madrid between 2012 and 2016, the Master’s in Renewable Energy and Environment at the Technical University of Madrid in 2013, 2015 and 2018, as well as various editions of bespoke courses delivered by ARIEMA for its clients.

Industrial Engineer from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, with a Master’s degree in Energy Markets and Renewable Energy.

He worked as a Wind Development Engineer at Forestalia and is currently a Project Manager in ARIEMA’s Consulting department. During this time, he has carried out pre-feasibility and conceptual engineering studies for green hydrogen production plants, market analyses for innovative hydrogen technologies, and technical and regulatory assessments of fuel cell bus pilot projects.

He has also supported several regions within the Eurozone in the development of hydrogen valleys under the PDA II project promoted by the CH JU, leading the project in the Alenquer region and collaborating with three other regions led by ARIEMA. In addition to managing these projects, he has coordinated internal tasks and contributed to business development, identifying opportunities for collaboration with public and private organisations in the hydrogen sector.

Carolina Coronado is a geologist from the National University of Colombia and holds a Master’s degree in Energy from the University of Auckland (New Zealand). She has held positions including Director of Management and Planning at the Colombian Geothermal Association and Project Manager for environmental assessment and monitoring, participating in initiatives related to mining projects and groundwater resource management.

She has extensive experience in the management and coordination of environmental and natural resource projects, applying geothermal exploration methodologies, environmental risk analysis and coordination with regulatory authorities in Colombia to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.

She currently works at ARIEMA, where she leads the Training department and is responsible for the design and development of specialised programmes in renewable hydrogen.

Industrial Chemical Engineer, Mechatronics Technician and Senior Occupational Health and Safety Technician specialising in all three areas: Safety, Industrial Hygiene and Ergonomics. She has more than 15 years of experience in the industrial, energy and construction sectors, leading and working as part of teams in the field of safety.

She currently works as a Project Engineer in the machinery safety area, coordinating the electrolyser certification process and managing the integration of safety into hydrogen production processes.
