ECLOSION

Eclosion – New materials, technologies and processes for the generation, storage, transport and integration of renewable hydrogen and biomethane from biowaste.

  • Funding body: CDTI
  • Call: Science and Innovation Missions
  • Partners: Aqualia (coord.), FCC Medio Ambiente, H2B2, MINDCAPS, Ghenova, CADE, iDECAL and Ariema.
  • Duration: 45 months (November 2021 – June 2025).
  • Total budget: €6,602,498.

The Eclosion project aims to research and develop new solutions at pilot plant and laboratory scale for the generation, management and utilisation of green hydrogen and biomethane, using biowaste as an abundant source of high-quality resources in a stable and affordable manner.

In this project, Ariema develops an auxiliary hydrogen compression system powered by surplus thermal energy, using cascaded combinations of metal hydrides.
