VALORH2

ValorH2 – Research into new technologies, materials and processes associated with the hydrogen value chain.

  • Funding body: CDTI
  • Call: Science and Innovation Missions
  • Partners: Hiperbaric (coord.), Aciturri, Adisseo, Desmasa, DGH Group, mTorres and Ariema.
  • Duration: 31 months (September 2022 – March 2025).
  • Total budget: €7,989,210.

The ValorH2 project focuses on research into technologies, materials and processes at different stages of the hydrogen value chain: generation, compression, storage and transport, as well as its use in hydrogen refuelling and in a CO2 methanation process, with the aim of increasing efficiency, reducing costs and minimising the carbon footprint of all these processes.

In this project, Ariema researches new materials, catalysts and components for the design and manufacture of a 0.5 MW alkaline electrolyser, producing hydrogen with the required purity for use in fuel cell vehicles.
